The National Certified Public Manager® Consortium approved three state programs for Continued Accreditation at their Annual Business meeting held in Baltimore, Maryland on October 25, 2016. Each of these accredited organizations provides training programs leading to the Certified Public Manager® (CPM) designation for their graduates and has the responsibility for assuring that the use of the CPM designation in their state meets the national standards set by the Consortium.
Continued Accreditation for five years was granted to the following programs (year of initial accreditation):
· Arkansas: Arkansas Public Administration Consortium, University of Arkansas at Little Rock Institute of Government (1991)
· Indiana: Ball State University Bowen Center for Public Affairs (2011)
· South Carolina: South Carolina Department of Administration Division of State Human Resources (1996)
Each of these programs has met the requirements to provide a training program for public sector supervisors and managers that meet the core competencies of:

- 2. Managing Work
- 3. Leading People
- 4. Developing Self
- 5. Systemic Integration
- 6. Public Service Focus
- 7. Change Leadership
A key component of the program is the completion of a Capstone Project where the participant utilizes the core competencies to offer improvements to the organization where they work or to address public policy issue within their state or local governments.
